Summer brings myriad popular outdoor events including canoe and guideboat races, antique shows, lumberjack competitions, arts festivals and outdoor concerts, and live theatre. In the winter enjoy historic winter carnivals and Snowmobile Snow-Cross competitions, snow sculpture contests and ski races.

Malone's Salmon River will host the Hendrickson Hatch Fly Fishing Tournament on May 31st and June 1st. This is a community-sponsored event. Prizes will be awarded for the top three anglers with the greatest accumulated length of fish over the two-day tournament.
